• ‘Skyfall’

Agent MI6 is exposed and Lady M is criticized by the British Intelligence and Security Committee. Agent 007 is called in to solve the crisis. It is the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film series and the first to be screened in IMAX.

• ‘Gone’

The heroine of the story suspects her younger sister was kidnapped by the same serial killer who kidnapped her two years ago. She decides to save her younger sister from the killer.

• ‘Cloud Atlas’

Cloud Atlas comprises six nested stories that take viewers on a journey from the South Pacific in the 1800s to a post-apocalyptic future. The first five stories are interrupted at a key moment, but are resolved later in the film. The story comes full circle and ends where it started, in the South Pacific.

• ‘Voyage Extraordinaire’ (3D)

Youth maritime school students Qianlang and Yanzi encounter a tornado at sea. When falling into the ocean, they find a blue and white porcelain ink brush washer. Through the rainwater collected in the ink brush washer they see a well-equipped fleet carrying 27,000 people, which was led by explorer Zheng He in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

• ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’

The adventure follows the journey of Bilbo Baggins, the uncle of Frodo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug.

Several film graduates start shooting a horror film in a deserted old house. They post clips of the film on their microblog. Days later, the filmmakers disappear.
