Blooms of beauty from 19th Jiading Chrysanthemum Exhibition

The 19th Jiading Chrysanthemum Exhibition just ended at Huilongtan Park, with some 100 varieties and 30,000 pots of chrysanthemums attracting crowds of visitors. Chrysanthemums are considered one of the “four gentlemen” plants in Chinese culture, along with orchids, plum blossoms and bamboo. For those who missed the exhibition, we reproduce some photos of the blooms for you to appreciate the unique charm of the flowers that span a spectrum of colors and shapes.

At the Huilongtan cultural activity room, a large-scale floral work that combines flower arrangement and bamboo art attracted visitors. — Si Shushu
